Northwest Cellars review in Northwest Palate

Northwest Cellars
2006 Red Wine, Intrigue, Columbia Valley-
Full aromas of fresh red fruits combine with spicy barrel notes for an engaging nose. Red raspberry and cherry fruitiness is at first a bit closed on the palate, but soon opens with energy offering juicy berry and plum notes accented with light mint and tea leaf. The fruit seems to gather force and appeal before closing with a touch of tight tangin and plenty of length. Serve with lamb ragu pasta (51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Syrah, 18% Pinot Noir, 9% Carmenere, 528 cases made) $28 www.nwpalate.com www.northwestcellars.com
